Counseling Associates believes in helping adults who suffer from serious mental illness reach their fullest potential. Our strong Housing Program is one of the effective tools we utilize to help individuals in achieving those goals.

Counseling Associates provides over 60 housing opportunities with facilities in Pope and Faulkner Counties.

This program helps the seriously mentally ill individuals who might otherwise find themselves homeless. Housing opportunities from least restrictive to more restrictive are designed to help individuals reach their highest level of independence.

Housing opportunities are available through two apartment complexes, two transitional units and one crisis stabilization unit. Rent is based on the resident's monthly income.

Additional services such as day treatment, case management, medication management and therapy are also offered to clients in the housing programs.

McCormack Apartments in Conway and Hartford Square Apartments in Russellville both provide approximately 38 housing opportunities in the least restrictive of settings.

The one and two bedroom apartments are designed to provide low income, independent living accommodations.

Some are specifically designed to accommodate the needs of physically handicapped tenants.

Three facilities are housed on the Community Support Program (CSP) Campus in Russellville.

Two transitional units providing more restrictive housing with 24 hour supervision, day services programs, case management, medication management and groups.

The most restrictive housing opportunity is through Counseling Associates, Inc. Acute Care Program. Staffed by professionals 24 hours per day, clients are stabilized and assisted until they can manage in a less restrictive environment.

Eligible residents for the Apartments and Group Home receive a Section 8 rent subsidy from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This subsidy is paid directly to the project each month and applied toward the resident's rent.
